Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, announced it has been named the recipient of the 2026 Vision Award by the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM). AIM’s Vision Award is the organization’s highest honor, recognizing companies, organizations, and individuals that have made exceptional contributions to economic opportunity in the Commonwealth.
“Massachusetts has long demonstrated how bold energy policy and strong public private partnerships fuel economic growth,” said Avangrid CEO Jose Antonio Miranda. “Our investments in NECEC and Vineyard Wind deliver reliable power, create jobs, and strengthen the Commonwealth’s competitiveness. And at a moment when affordability is paramount, these transformational projects are helping lower costs while supplying 25% of Massachusetts’ energy needs. This Vision Award underscores the lasting value of those commitments and Avangrid’s dedication to the Commonwealth’s economic future.”
“Avangrid is honored to receive the 2026 AIM Vision Award on behalf of our employees, our customers, and our partners,” said Avangrid Deputy CEO Kimberly Harriman. “By building critical energy infrastructure to support Massachusetts, we are creating thousands of good‑paying jobs, strengthening local supply chains, and generating long‑term economic opportunities while helping position the Commonwealth as a national energy leader.”
AIM recognizes Avangrid for its flagship energy projects in Massachusetts. In 2026, the company completed construction of the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) transmission project, delivering Canadian hydropower to the New England grid, and Vineyard Wind 1, the first commercial‑scale offshore wind farm in the United States. Together, these projects are expected to deliver 2,000 megawatts of clean energy to Massachusetts—approximately 25 percent of the Commonwealth’s total electricity demand.
“Energy is a top-of-mind issue for Massachusetts employers and Avangrid is a key player in developing and delivering energy for homes and businesses through service, innovation, and continued investments in grid infrastructure and energy generation projects,” said Brooke Thomson, President and CEO of AIM.
Avangrid Deputy CEO Kim Harriman will accept the award on behalf of the company at the 2026 AIM Annual Meeting on May 7, 2026 in Boston.
